Performing through partnership
Busways has one of the strongest performance records in the Australian bus industry. We operate under long-term service contracts in New South Wales and South Australia, meeting and exceeding KPIs for on-time running, safety, customer satisfaction and vehicle presentation.

“We don't try to be everything to everyone. We focus on buses, doing the job properly, and on long-term relationships and investment. That approach has served governments and communities well for decades.”
Will O'Neill, CEO
Trusted partner for contract transitions
Busways has successfully transitioned into new markets and operating environments, managing contract transitions of varying scale and complexity. This includes new depot builds, government workforce transfers and large fleet handovers.
We run a robust transition management program. Our Adelaide Outer South transition in 2020 demonstrated this capability in a new market, earning Busways an Australian Business Award for Change Management. Our team transitioned the South Australian Government’s 125 buses and recruited and onboarded 248 transferring employees, while navigating COVID-19 restrictions. Services commenced on 1 July 2020, with 100% of scheduled trips delivered and all Q1 performance targets achieved.
